Wasabi's service is designed for the optimal power consumption and data center space efficiency as it pertains to how our purpose-built software leverages the hardware in our data centers.  For example, our software is designed to maximize the amount of data that can be stored on a disk drive This approach helps reduce the number of power-consuming and heat-producing disk drives used for our service.

In addition, we make extensive use of virtualization and container technologies that allow us to operate many system functions across shared hardware elements rather than dedicated hardware for each function.  This approach allows us to reduce amount the of power and space consuming hardware in our data centers.  

As it pertains to our data center choices, Wasabi only partners with data center providers that share our goal and that operate with high energy efficiency standards and clean and renewable energy to support our global footprint.  Our partners are leaders in data center sustainability and are working consciously to minimize their carbon footprint and reduce energy consumption.
