How do I connect to Wasabi via Direct Connect?

Wasabi offers a private Direct Connect service comparable to Ethernet Private Line (EPL) and Direct Connects services that AWS, Azure, and GCP offer.   Wasabi Direct Connect (WDX) provides a customer with an alternative way of connecting to Wasabi other than via the public internet. This service can be delivered from a customer's data source (private or cloud) in a number of different network architectures along with the choice of cloud fabric service providers that Wasabi supports as described below.

Wasabi currently offers the customer the following Direct Connect options:

• Wasabi Direct Connect (WDX/EPL) – A direct connect service provisioned from customer’s data center to one of the Wasabi storage regions

• Public/Private Cloud hosted Direct Connect (Virtual Circuit-VXC) – A direct connect service provisioned from the customer’s data center to a cloud fabric service provider to one of the Wasabi storage regions over that cloud provider's cloud fabric network.

Additionally, Wasabi supports direct connect services that allow a customer to connect their exisiting cloud providers storage service to one of Wasabi’s storage regions.  This service provides the L2/L3 transport service for data migration from one cloud storage provider to Wasabi applying our supported migration tools.

The following options are available for customers that want to create an AWS direct connect service connection between their AWS S3 account and a Wasabi storage account:

• AWS Direct Connect via MegaPort

• AWS Direct Connect via Equinix Fabric)

(Other cloud providers including Azure and GCP Direct Connect options are also available)

Wasabi Direct Connect Questionnaire

Customers who are interested in Wasabi’s Direct Connect services should contact Wasabi Sales.   A Direct Connect questionnaire will be provided to the customer to collect the necessary information in order to properly generate the Letter of Authorization/Cross Facility Assignment (LOA/CFA) for the direct connect service (Ethernet Private Line only).

Wasabi Direct Connect Usage Term

Due to the network provisioning and other setup costs associated with Wasabi Direct Connect, we require a minimum 6 month term for using Wasabi Direct Connect.
