Does the WCSM platform create any new buckets in my Wasabi account?

WCSM does not create the destination buckets for replication. Those should be created by the account holder via the Wasabi console (or any S3 browser type of application). Once the destination bucket is created, you can select it on the WCSM Replication tab during the job configuration.

WCSM will, however create a new bucket in your account to collect bucket logging log files. WCSM uses the bucket logging feature of Wasabi to determine which data in the source bucket needs to be replicated to the destination bucket. The bucket logs from this feature are written inside a new bucket created automatically by the WCSM platform, named ‘-wcsm-log in the customer’s Wasabi account.
