    Hi Jean-Marc,

Thank you for your post in our Community forum. The "Path for the user" is a way to define a path space for the IAM user for use within resource policies, such as a bucket policy. For example, if you have User A and User B, both whom should be administrators, you can add the path "administrators" to these users. Adding this path changes the ARN of the users to include the path name. You may then delegate specific permissions on the bucket for the IAM path "arn:aws:iam::100000000001:user/administrators/*" within the "Principal" field of the bucket policy. By including the "/administrators/*" wildcard, all users with the "/administrators/" path will be included in this permission evaluation.

I hope this information is helpful. If you need further clarification, please reach out to us at to open a support ticket.
